Hello! Nice of you to drop by my portfolio, I hope you like what you see.

Ever since I was a little kid I've wanted to tell stories. I would always be drawing, writing, or creating something, and often used my dolls to create little stop motion films. I started Columbia College Chicago in 2016 with the intention of becoming an animator, but when I took a producing class just for fun I realized it fit my creative and analytical mindset, can do attitude, and leadership skills much better.

Since then I have independently produced five films, been part of Women in Animation's Mentorship circle of 2020, and was featured in The Animation Industry Podcast. My work ranges from documentary, polished motion graphics, to intricate stop motion. I hope to continue on my path of producing great stories in whichever medium that fits them best.

Eve was made from Adam’s rib. Everybody knows that. But... does the Bible actually say it?

In this delightful short film, I teamed up with Bible scholar Lizzie Berne DeGear to breathe new life into an old story we thought we all knew.

Director, Cinematographer, Editor

2020 - 2021

At Tech Kids Project, I had the opportunity to create both creative example videos and curriculum based videos for their online classes. I created a variety of short films and promotional content for the company. The educational content is tutorials for Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Adobe Animate.

Cuba Si, Bloque No!

Production Assistant/Cinematographer

Cuba Si, Bloque No! is a short documentary highlighting the amazing work Marguerite Horberg, an artist, social justice activist and entrepreneur who successfully married these tendencies with The Uri-Echen Gallery.

In 2018, the Uri-Echen Gallery put on a showcase of the Cuban Embargo from the perspective of Cuban citizens. It was curated to emphasize the demand to end the embargo against Cuba and to educate United States citizens about the embargo.

Beyond the Barrier is a short film about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, written by Ian Roozrokh and directed and animated by myself. It tells the story of two children who are caught in the midst of the war, and their journey to still be together without barriers.

The film started after Jeff Spitz saw the script and took it to me to create. I immediately leapt into action and assembled a team of graphic designers, compositors, and sound designers to help. The project as a whole took nine months to complete.

It won the JCC Chicago Jewish Film Festival and was featured at the Chicago Feminist Film Festival and the Doc Talk Show, as well as receiving accolades overseas at the Duemila 30 Film Festival in Milan, Italy.

Producer, Director, Writer, Set and Character Fabricator, Art Direction

Valse Sentimentale started out as a short for one of my film classes and grew into much more. The class only had two weeks to work on a short project, and I decided to challenge myself and create a stop motion piece in that small time frame. I recruited my classmates and colleagues to create small dancing motifs using their own unique style of animation: paper cut, hand drawn, and the traditional stop motion. My harp playing is also featured.

The film premiered at the CineYouth Festival in Chicago, and went overseas at the AM Egypt Film Festival, the Geo Film Festival and Expocinema, and the International Festival of Short Films on Culture and Tourism.

The Makeout Session is a documentary that was inspired by the thrilling tale of Marco Bermudez's first kiss. It originated as a class assignment and took two weeks to create.

It won Best Documentary at the Take One Film Festival and was showcased in the Columbia Showcase.

The Book was my first fully formed stop motion film. It was a very low-tech, beginner production. I created all the props, characters, and backgrounds, and animated all of it using my iPhone and iMovie.

I created it during my junior year of high school. It took me five months to create and premiered at the International Thespian Festival, where it won first place for best short.
